Kenya’s soul is under threat.

Substance abuse among Kenyan youth, especially between the ages of 16 and 20, is a major concern, according to the 2022 NACADA report. The government’s current interventions are not comprehensive enough. Familial and regional factors, as well as gender disparities, significantly contribute to the problem. To combat drug abuse effectively, stakeholders should focus on fostering stronger familial communication and understanding cultural nuances. The threat this issue poses on Kenya’s future, such as impacting Vision 2030, cannot be overlooked.
